What do Free Will Baptist believe?

God
We believe in one God who is the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of the universe. He reveals Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is God's unique Son, fully God and fully man. He was crucified for our sins, rose again, and now mediates between God and us. He is the only way to the Father.

Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is fully God, convicting us of sin, guiding us to truth, and preparing us for judgment. He dwells in believers, helping them understand Scripture and follow God’s ways.

The Bible
The Bible – The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, were written by holy men under God's guidance and are His perfect, error-free Word. Jesus Christ, the living Word, is revealed through them. The Bible is our ultimate guide for faith and life, teaching truth, correcting us, and instructing us in righteous living.

Man
Man was innocent, but through disobedience, he became a sinner under God’s judgment. All people inherit a sinful nature, and upon reaching accountability, they are guilty before God and need salvation.

Who can be Saved?
God desires all to be saved, but only those who repent and believe in Christ are saved. Those who reject Him in this life have no second chance and face eternal separation from God.

Salvation
Salvation comes through admitting sin, turning from it, and trusting in Christ’s sacrifice on the cross and resurrection. It is by grace alone, not by works.

Resurrection
God desires all to be saved, but only those who repent and believe in Christ are saved. Those who reject Him in this life have no second chance and face eternal separation from God.
Core Doctrines That Set Us Apart.

Perseverance
God's grace gives believers hope and strength to endure, but they are still free to choose their path. When they fall, forgiveness and restoration are available through repentance. However, ongoing rebellion and a deliberate turning away from faith can result in spiritual loss.

Gospel Ordinances
Free Will Baptists practice three biblical ordinances: baptism by immersion, the Lord’s Supper until Christ’s return, and the literal washing of the saints’ feet as a symbol of humility and service.

Church Government
Free Will Baptist churches are self-governing, with local churches holding the highest authority. They voluntarily join associations at various levels to further the cause of Christ.
